The Hog Ring - Register for SEMA's 2026 Professional Development Program

Interested in leveling up your leadership skills? Then register for SEMA’s 2026 Professional Development Program.

The in-person training, organized by SEMA Future Leaders Network (FLN), is designed to help automotive professionals grow into stronger communicators and leaders within the aftermarket industry.

It’ll take place on May 14–15, 2026 at the SEMA Garage in Detroit, Michigan.

Not Your Typical Training Event

This isn’t one of those sit-through-a-PowerPoint kind of seminars. The program is built as an intensive, hands-on experience focused on real-world challenges people face in automotive businesses every day.

The training pulls from the Dale Carnegie curriculum and adapts it specifically for the aftermarket — so instead of generic advice, participants are working through scenarios that actually apply to their roles.

Past attendees say that’s where the value really shows up.

A Quick Hit With Real Takeaways

The program runs just two days, but it’s designed to be packed with practical takeaways you can bring back to your shop, office, or team right away.

Participants spend time working on things like improving how they communicate with coworkers, speaking more confidently in front of groups, and handling difficult conversations more effectively. There’s also a networking component, giving attendees the chance to connect with other up-and-coming professionals across the industry.

What Attendees Get

For 2026, the program has been opened up to all SEMA members. Pricing is $960 for FLN members and $1,060 for SEMA members.

That cost covers more than just the training itself. Attendees also receive:

  • Three nights of hotel accommodations (May 13–15)
  • Meals and beverages during the program
  • A certificate of completion at the end

Limited Spots, Approaching Deadline

One important detail: this isn’t a large-group event.

The program is capped at just 25 participants to keep things focused and interactive, which means spots are limited.

Applications are due by Monday, April 13, so if this is something you’ve been considering, it’s worth moving sooner rather than later. For more information or to apply, click here.
