Pirate Upholstery’s Cadillac Bike Seat

November 2, 2012 By Nadeem Muaddi

In 2011, Jay Teske of Pirate Upholstery was tapped by Orange County Choppers (OCC) to fabricate a one-off seat for a custom Cadillac-themed motorcycle.

The seat needed to be angular, beveled and sculpted into different tiers in order to fit Cadillac’s school of design. Not an easy task, but Jay knocked it out of the park!

Not sure how to feel about it. Neat design though

Not too sure how I feel about it either, but amazingly executed!

I wasn’t sure what was it at first, but then I figured it out. For me, its not at all upholstery related, but just because you were curious, it reminds me of this wedge-like pillow contraption they strapped between my knees for a month after my first hip replacement. Hahaha!

This is strictly an opinion, but for me it doesn’t carry out the chiseled look you see on the rest of the bike. Almost everything that comes out of this shop blows me away but this one didn’t do it for me.

I like the seat, but I can see how sharper angles and higher drop-offs between the tiers would give it that more chiseled look. Perhaps even following the body lines in the tail…
