The Hog Ring - Auto Upholstery Community - Custom Minivan Diamond Pleats

Speaking of diamond pleats, get a load of this custom minivan – which has its roof, hood and front fascia trimmed in the pattern.

Not your average soccer-mom’s mode of transport, this minivan was featured at the 2010 Tokyo Auto Salon. Unfortunately, we don’t know who owns it or which auto upholstery shop did the work. Rest assure, it wasn’t Naseem.

Regardless of what you think of vehicles that sport soft fabrics on their exteriors, you have to admit that this one is still better than that one tuft porsche – right?

pretty neat. sometimes you just gotta cover up a dent or two. i don’t know why Naseem has such a beef with diamonds. they are almost as timeless as straight pleats. in the right setting.

Owner ACC The cheap overpriced carpets that halfway fit correctly
Carpets used to a highly profitable area in the upholstery business till they came along selling to the public and restoration parts people for less than to upholsterer’s

I’ve been looking for a dependable supplier, for interior kits. Seat covers, molded carpets, headliners, convertible tops. The suppliers I’ve been using for many years have been less than reliable for some reason. I know it’s peak season but, wow! Two weeks for a special order convertible top. That’s just not working for us anymore. Anyone have any recommendations? I’m in the Chicago Illinois area. Not a problem dealing with out of state suppliers, as long as they are reliable.
    Thanks in advance,
    Eric
