NC Interior of the Year is Back… and NC Upped the Prize!

May 22, 2020 By Nadeem Muaddi

The Hog Ring - NC Interior of the Year is Back

It’s that time again when talented trimmers across the industry compete to see who’s got the chops to take home the “NC Interior of the Year” award.

NC Carpet Binding & Equipment is excited to host the competition for a third straight year. No, the coronavirus pandemic will not nix plans. In fact, the contest and the excitement surrounding it might even help keep shops motivated and inspired during these tough times.

“We have no intention of doing much of anything different. We are who we are and nothing will ever change that. It’s my hope the contest will still matter to trimmers,” said Mal Maher, CEO.

“I called Brodie Smith of Douglass Interior Products and they’re on board again. Their continued generosity and support of this contest has been tremendous,” said Maher.

Douglass Interior Products, who cosponsor the annual contest, are also excited to get things going.

“We are really excited to once again be part of this great contest to support upholsterers from all over,” said Nick Roberts, director of Marketing for Douglass.

“Mal and the team at NC Carpet have been so generous to include us again and being that it is the third year, we are happy to see this contest quickly become a SEMA institution.”

NC MADE THE PRIZE BIGGER

This year’s prize is even bigger than last year!

Stitchwurx Wins NC Interior of the Year - SEMA 2019

The 2020 winner will receive a MONSTER TROPHY and $3,000 gift certificate to Douglass Interior Products. Use the certificate to buy premium automotive leather, fabric or carpets from Douglass.

That’s not all! The winner will receive a brand new NC Leather Skiver, complete with a servo motor workstation + Vacuum system. That’s a $2000 value, including the freight.

Then there’s the bragging rights! The winner will join DJ Designs (2018) and Stitchwurx (2019) as the only shops to win this prestigious award.

Of course, the winner will also be profiled on The Hog Ring.
